Lubinets: TRC's actions have brought Ukrainians to the boiling point, military commissars will be lynched

The legal lawlessness that TRC employees create with the support of the police during the forced mobilization has brought Ukrainian society to a "boiling point," said the Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.

According to him, Ukrainians are ready to lynch military commissars because they see no other way to defend their rights. This situation was caused by the fact that people do not see the legal reaction of the authorities to the actions of the "ludolovs".

"The citizens of Ukraine themselves take responsibility and try to counteract what is happening in this way. This, in turn, leads to even more serious consequences and problems in the future. Therefore, this situation should show us all that, in fact, the boiling point in Ukrainian society has already been almost reached," Strana quoted the Ombudsman as saying.

This is how he commented on the recent mass protest due to mobilization in Lviv. According to Lubinets, all military enlistment offices, without exception, must wear body cameras — this norm exists, but is not fulfilled.

He also criticizes that TRC employees detain people without drawing up protocols and involving the police, that is, illegally. According to the Ombudsman, this happens in the vast majority of cases.

"I see that now, in my opinion, in about 10% of cases everything happens in compliance with the established procedures. In the remaining 90% of cases, we are talking about a direct violation of the rights of Ukrainian citizens," Lubinets stated.

According to him, the situation is complicated by the fact that mostly such detentions are carried out by people in balaclavas and without identification chevrons. That is, it is impossible to verify those who violate the law.

Lubinets claims that he persuaded the last three defense ministers (including Mikhail Fedorov) to ban detentions in this form. However, none of them responded to these calls.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets informed about cases of prolonged illegal detention of citizens in the TRC. According to him, people were held in the premises of the TRC for several days to several weeks without a clearly defined legal status.
