My wife lost three people over the summer — details of the death of the Kukryniks guitarist

Details of the death of 45-year-old bass guitarist and backing vocalist of "Kukryniksy" Dmitry Ohanyan leads the Fifth channel. The man's body was found in a pond on Michmanskaya Street in St. Petersburg. An axe, clothes and a severed left hand were found near the scene.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg, Ohanyan's body was found in the water about three meters from the shore. The deceased was wearing a T-shirt and underwear. Now different versions of what happened are being considered. In some media there was a version that the musician could take his own life. However, this is a preliminary version, and not a fact established by the investigation. In addition, the brother of musician Tigran Ohanyan said after the tragedy that Dmitry had no suicidal thoughts.

"A separate tragedy was the story of the musician's wife Anna Ohanyan. According to media reports, this summer has been a series of heavy losses for her: her brother died in June, a close friend died in July, and on August 20 she lost her husband. Thus, in a few months Anna faced three deaths of loved ones at once," the video says.

It is known that Dmitry and Anna got married on July 18, 2020. For the musician it was the second marriage. He has a child from a previous relationship. In marriage with Anna, two more children were born.

After Ohanyan's death, his health problems attracted special attention. Anatoly Sklyarenko— a musician of the Brigade Contractor group, with whom Ohanyan collaborated, told about them.

According to Sklyarenko, Dmitry has seriously suffered from the skin on his hands in recent years. Deep cracks constantly appeared on the pads of the fingers with which the bass guitarist clamped the strings. Because of this, it was difficult for the musician to play and perform. For performances, he had to use special nozzles on his fingers.

"His hands cracked, his skin dried out, he constantly smeared them with cream ... there were serious problems with this," Sklyarenko said.

He noted that the bass guitarist has always been the soul of the company and did not make enemies.

"Someone else's soul is in the dark, especially since I haven't seen him for a year, everything could have changed. But when he played with us, it was always jokes, always a smile from ear to ear, he reacted to all the jokes. In general, he was an extremely positive person," the musician concluded.

Despite health problems, Ohanyan continued to study music. One of his last famous concerts took place on February 22, 2026 at the Lastochka club in St. Petersburg. Ohanyan joined the Kukryniksy collective, headed by Alexey Gorshenev, the younger brother of Mikhail Gorshenev from the King and the Fool group, in the early 2000s and for many years remained one of the main members of the collective. As part of the group, Ohanyan played bass guitar and performed backing vocals. After the collapse of "Kukryniksy" in 2018, he continued his musical activities and for some time performed with a "Brigade contract".
