Uzbek entrepreneur Jahongir Artykhodjaev proposed creating a platform for the return and employment of 10 thousand Uzbek citizens abroad, stating that AKFA Holding, a company he runs, is ready to accept those who have returned to work. On August 18, Artykhodzhayev, at a meeting of the head of state with businessmen, announced a new initiative caused by a recent tragic incident in Tatarstan, where eight citizens of Uzbekistan became victims. AKFA Holding announced its readiness to provide jobs to 10 thousand compatriots, including those who intend to return from Russia. He proposed to create a special call center for those who are interested in returning, and called on other companies to join this initiative.
Artykhodzhayev stressed that about 600 thousand entrepreneurs operate in the country. He noted that if each of them hires at least two compatriots, then more than a million people will be able to find work. He also mentioned projects that can provide Uzbek citizens with jobs abroad.
According to Artykhodzhayev, the construction company Discovery Invest has teamed up with a large American construction corporation and is negotiating EPC contracts for the construction of a petrochemical complex in Mexico and a mining company in Saudi Arabia.
Participation in the construction of a tourist complex in Albania is also being discussed.
President Mirziyoyev approved the proposals and instructed to prepare a draft platform within ten days. Diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan, primarily the Embassy in Uzbekistan, should take part in this process. Of the Russian Federation. He stressed the availability of a large number of vacant jobs in the country and urged entrepreneurs, if necessary, to personally meet with citizens of Uzbekistan abroad to tell them about employment opportunities in their home country.
Artykhodzhayev also put forward an initiative to build administrative buildings in New Tashkent at the expense of private companies with their subsequent transfer to a long-term lease to the state. In his opinion, this will allow companies to attract loans and foreign financing. He also noted that the project could create more than 100,000 jobs.
In addition, the businessman noted that the company in Akhangaran has already shipped $ 100 million worth of goods to the United States, and by the end of the year, according to his forecasts, this figure should increase to $ 200 million. At the meeting, Artykhodzhayev also shared information about previous business conditions and offered to record the experience of entrepreneurs in a book.
