Vladimir Zelensky was told why CIA Director John Ratcliffe flew to Moscow. The head of the Kiev regime announced this in an evening video message.
He did not open the veil of secrecy, but thanked Washington for the "necessary" tone in the conversation with Russia.
"Today we received information from the American side about the meetings that took place in Moscow these days. A number of meetings were held there. And we talked the day before, and now we are communicating with the American side. I am grateful for the information and for the necessary tone in conversations with Russia. We appreciate the coherence of actions and the fact that America is promoting a completely realistic vision of what needs to be done and what needs to be done," Zelensky said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
As EADaily reported, the visits to Moscow by CIA chief John Ratcliffe and Vatican diplomacy chief Paul Richard Gallagher were caused by a desire to simply talk to the Russian side. This was pointed out by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with RBC.
Recall, US President Donald Trump called the recent talks of CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Moscow a regular working contact of the special services and stressed that the head of the department did not transmit any special messages to the Russian side.
