Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed not to strike at Kiev for three days. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
According to Peskov, the president will order from midnight today for three days not to strike at Kiev. The pause is connected with the preparation and holding of meetings of envoys of the US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner there.
"The President of Russia, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Putin has instructed not to strike at Kiev for three days starting today at midnight. This is due to the preparation and conduct of contacts of Americans in Kiev," Peskov told TASS.
According to Peskov, Vladimir Putin will receive Witkoff and Kushner today.
The day before, the Ukrainian media reported that a ceasefire had been declared in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from midnight on September 5 to September 8.
"That is, there is no ceasefire along the line of combat contact, as Zelensky wanted. And other cities should not relax," military correspondent Alexander Kots comments on the picture of the day.
As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump said that his representative Steve Witkoff would bring Russian President Vladimir Putin a proposal to end the war in Ukraine.
Witkoff and Kushner have already arrived in Moscow. They were met by the special representative of the President of Russia Kirill Dmitriev.
Moscow should not agree to a truce on the occasion of the visits of envoys of US President Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kiev, which was announced in Kiev. This point of view is held by military correspondent Alexander Kots.
