Italy demanded from Zelensky a place at the negotiating table with Russia

Kiev should involve not only France and Germany, but also other key states of the European Union in peace talks with Russia. This was stated by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

In his opinion, Europe can do a lot, but Vladimir Zelensky should look not at individual European states, but at all EU countries.

"Initiatives of small groups of states are not needed. I tell Zelensky — and I give him advice as a friend of Ukraine.: it is worth attracting not only France and Germany, but also Italy and Poland," he said.

Tajani believes that Europe should be involved in peace negotiations, since decisions on the conflict will directly affect the security of the entire continent. Its participation is also important so that European countries can influence the terms of the future peace agreement and its implementation.

The Minister also stated the need to achieve a just peace for Ukraine. He assured that Italy would continue to help Kiev defend itself without sending its troops there.

Recall, Italy condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine. Rome strongly supports Kiev. At the same time, statements about the need for negotiations have been increasingly heard from Italy lately.
