Ukrzaliznytsya: passenger trains no longer go to Sumy

The Ukrainian state-owned railway Management Company "Ukrzaliznytsya" announced the termination of passenger rail service with the city of Sumy.

This is reported by the "Suspilne Novini" edition, referring to the press service of the Ukrainian railway operator. They confirmed that passenger trains no longer go to Sumy.

The company cited constant Russian attacks on the railway infrastructure as the reason for this decision. Now passenger trains will stop at Konotope.

Further to Sum passengers will be transported by buses.

"Communications with Sumy will remain in a multimodal form: train + bus", - said "Ukrzaliznytsya".

It should be noted that a similar decision may follow in relation to Kharkov, to which Russian troops from the "North" grouping are getting closer.

As EADaily reported, after the Russian troops liberated Hoptovka, the distance from our positions to the outskirts of Kharkov was reduced to a standard artillery shot.
