Donald Trump was taken to a safe place by the Secret Service after agents opened fire on a man seen with what could have been a gun. It is reported by The New York Post, citing law enforcement sources.
According to sources, the Secret Service noticed a suspicious person at the International Golf Course in West Palm Beach and opened fire when agents saw what could be the barrel of a gun.
"It is unclear whether the man was on the field or next to him. The agent opened fire, firing several times. Later, the man was arrested by local police," the newspaper writes.
As EADaily reported, shots were fired near Donald Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, when the presidential candidate was leaving it. This was reported by The New York Post, citing law enforcement sources.
"President Trump is safe after shots were fired at his (golf club. — EADaily) neighborhood. No further details at this point," said Trump spokesman Stephen Chung on Sunday afternoon.
