A train with tourists from Europe was attacked in Kyrgyzstan. Unknown persons threw stones at the train following the route Kant — Alamedin. This was reported by the press service of the company "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu" ("Railways of Kyrgyzstan").
According to the company, the incident occurred on April 8. As a result of the incident, the windows of two cars were broken. An employee of the train crew was injured.
"Such actions not only create serious inconvenience for passengers, but also directly threaten their safety. As a result of criminal actions, guests of our country suffer, which may negatively affect the international image of the Kyrgyz Republic," the national carrier said in a statement on this matter.
The company urged residents of settlements located along the railway tracks to show consciousness and civic responsibility.
"Any actions that violate traffic safety and threaten the life and health of passengers and railway workers will be considered within the framework of the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic," the carrier's statement further says.
