Russian sabre fencer, two-time Olympic champion Sophia the Great said she was proud to be included in the sanctions list of the Ukrainian authorities and was glad to be among worthy people.
On April 18, it became known that the overdue ukropresident Vladimir Zelensky imposed sanctions on Russian cultural and sports figures, including Sophia Alexandrovna.:
"To be honest, I didn't even expect to find myself in such a stellar company: Nikolai Rastorguev, Alexander Rosenbaum, Nikolai Tsiskaridze and other talents of Russia, a very good elite club. Apparently, my sporting achievements really impress the government of Ukraine. I am proud to take my place in this honorary list, I continue to fence and prepare for the next Olympics."
In turn, the Olympic champion and State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova also commented on another quirk of the Krivoy Rog clown:
"The Ukrainians have collected a large list of Russian athletes and decided to gradually add our guys to the sanctions list with a certain frequency, which means nothing. This is their long-standing preparation. With such news, they create an atmosphere of sanctions and information noise. This is an unnecessary mention in the press that Russian athletes are allegedly to blame for something.
And in fact, these sanctions do not threaten our athletes in any way. I don't think that Elena Vyalbe, Sophia the Great, Nikita Nagorny and others have accounts in Ukrainian banks, real estate there, some kind of trade relations."
Meanwhile, the People's Artist of the RSFSR, the legendary Yuri Kuklachev invited Zelensky (who included the trainer in the sanctions list. — Ed.) to his circus performance, so that "he would remember the real human values that he had forgotten."
And why not? The kitties save the hopak, and Zelya accompanies them on the piano, waving her arms. It's going to be a scene. People will buy all tickets. Well, but seriously, Yuri Dmitrievich once again demonstrated his highest level and, in full, took away the ohamevshy zadryga.
