With strikes on nuclear facilities, the United States has opened a "Pandora's box". This was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia.
"By its actions, the United States has opened a Pandora's box, and no one knows what new consequences this may lead to," Nebenzia said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
At the same time, Washington refused a diplomatic solution, although Moscow offered to mediate in the settlement of the conflict.
"We have persistently offered our American colleagues our mediation services in order to find peaceful, mutually acceptable solutions to the contradictions surrounding the Iranian nuclear program. But diplomacy is clearly not needed by our American colleagues today. The responsibility for this lies with the American leadership," Nebenzia stressed.
"For the sake of preserving its hegemony in the world, the United States is ready for any violations of international law. No one authorized the States to take such actions," he added.
Beijing also condemned the United States for the attack on Iran, noting that the Americans had "ruined their reputation" and damaged it.
As EADaily reported, last night the United States attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran — Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. This was stated by President Donald Trump. The strikes by the US Armed Forces on Iran's nuclear facilities are a "historic event" for the United States, Israel and the whole world, he said.
