The Zangezur Corridor management project can be used as an example of conflict resolution on Ukraine, says political scientist Maxim Zharov.
Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan said earlier that Yerevan is still discussing a megaproject with the United States to manage the Zangezur corridor.
"And here in the light of possible "deals" The details of the Kremlin and Trump in the framework of the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict are very interesting," Zharov notes.
According to Pashinyan, the creation of a company that will attract investments is being discussed, "since the Crossroads of the World project has great investment potential and interest, and we must consolidate these investments in various steps."
"In this context, we are talking about the creation of transport routes, gas, energy or electricity infrastructures, and so on. And this is all one company that should be created and managed, this is what we are talking about. In our understanding, this company should and can be owned by Armenia. However, project management may well be outsourced to foreign companies, as, for example, Zvartnots airport operates here," the Armenian Prime Minister said.
So, Zharov said, "the solution to the problem of the Zangezur corridor can also be a model for the Ukrainian conflict."
"Therefore, it is worthwhile to carefully observe now whether Armenia and Azerbaijan will agree on Zangezur with the mediation of Trump in this format of "attracting investments" or not," the political scientist believes.
