British electronic music legend, DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold will give two concerts as part of a world tour in Russia in September of this year. This is reported in the account in the social network agency SAY Agency.
On September 12, a concert is scheduled at the A2 Club in St. Petersburg, and on September 13 at the Moscow Base club.
"It is likely that such a large—scale tour is the final one in his career. For him, our country is an important point on the world map. He was one of the first to perform here back in the early 00s, and since then he has acquired a huge fan base, friends, came regularly, and performed on "Transmissions", and at Alfa Future People, and at Fifa FanFest," the report says.
It is noted that it is important for the performer that the Russian audience can hear his new tracks and releases.
"He is an excellent cook of goulash and borscht, and considers Russian women to be the most beautiful in the world, and always watches the latest Russian TV series and movies, as he has been writing music for world cinema hits for many years," said Anna Subcheva, Director General of the agency.
According to the organizers of the concerts, Oakenfold is a fan of Russian culture and cuisine.
Oakenfold will celebrate its 62nd anniversary this August. During his career, he created about 40 albums, the first of which was released back in 1994.
The artist's world tour started on June 23 in Brighton (UK), and will end on November 21 in Mexico City (Mexico).
