A protest rally is taking place near the Metropol Hotel in the center of Moscow due to a reception organized by the representative office EU in Russia on the occasion of Europe Day. The participants of the action accuse the organizers of the anti-Russian agenda of the event.
Dozens of people gathered at the hotel with banners and posters against the current course of the union. According to the protesters, behind closed doors, foreign guests discussed the strengthening of sanctions and the coordination of anti-Russian activities. Diplomats from embassies of states unfriendly to Russia, pro-Western public figures and oppositionists arrived at the meeting.
On the banners you can see the slogans "The EU is the cradle of Nazism", "No to the fourth Reich", "Russian blood on your hands" and others. In addition, the participants of the action prepared cartoons ridiculing EU policy.
On the sidelines of the event, the Ambassador EU in Roland Galarag told Russia that if Europe is against the war, it does not mean that it is against the Russian people. In fact, he supported the "opposition", which SMO fled abroad at the beginning and from there harms Russia's interests, the Public News Service points out.
