A new airborne assault brigade will appear in the Gomel region of Belarus on the border with Ukraine. This was announced today, August 1, by the commander of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of Belarus, Major General Vadim Denisenko, BelTA has learned.
"To date, an anti-aircraft missile regiment has joined the MTR. Now we are at the completion stage, and a rocket artillery regiment will also be created this year. He is already 70% ready. Now the issue of creating a management team is being worked out," Denisenko said.
This southern section will be strengthened, a separate airborne assault brigade will be created there, the formation of which has already begun - one of the battalions has been created.
