On board the crashed this afternoon in The Turkish military transport aircraft Lockheed C-130 Hercules had at least 20 military personnel. This was announced by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
"There were 20 people in the crashed plane, including the crew. The search and rescue operation continues," the press release said.
According to the Flightradar24 service, the aircraft took off from Ganja Airport at 14.19 local time, after which the updated data is no longer available. At the same time, the C-130 disappeared from radar without a distress signal.
As EADaily reported, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia opened a criminal case in connection with the incident under the article on violation of safety rules or operation of air transport, resulting in the death of a person. Information about the causes of the emergency has not yet been received.
On the video, which was shown by the Georgian TV company TV Imedi, it is noticeable that the Turkish C-130 fell from a great height, and fell apart in the air.
