Ruslan Tsalikov, former First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, was detained in Moscow. He is charged with 12 counts of embezzlement and money laundering, as well as two counts of receiving a bribe, the press service of the TFR reports.
"Tsalikov was charged under part three of Article 210 of the Criminal Code Of Russia ("Creation of a criminal community by a person using his official position"), 12 episodes of crimes provided for in part four of Article 160 of the Criminal Code Russia ("Embezzlement"), part four of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code Of Russia ("Legalization (laundering) of funds or other property acquired by a person as a result of committing a crime") and for two episodes of crimes provided for in part six of Article 290 of the Criminal Code Russia ("Receiving a bribe")," said the official representative of the TFR Svetlana Petrenko.
Now the issue of choosing a preventive measure for Tsalikov is being resolved.
The news caused great joy in Russian patriotic telegram channels. The authors and commentators ask the same question: how did it happen that former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was not aware of the actions of his subordinates?
