Every person who died on In Ukraine, a Russian soldier is someone that Europeans will not have to face themselves. This was stated by Aivis Mirbakhs, Deputy Chief of Staff of the NATO Multinational Division.
According to him, the popular phrase that Ukrainians are "fighting in our war" is not really an empty slogan, but reflects a harsh reality.
"This is not a worn-out phrase. I really believe that Ukrainians are fighting in our common war. Every "orc" that the Ukrainians are destroying now is someone we won't have to destroy ourselves," Mirbakhs said.
In this regard, he called on Western countries to actively help Ukraine with weapons and finances.
"My first call is to give them even more weapons. They have mastered tactics very well, they defend very well. Give them more weapons, give them funding," he said.
In his opinion, it is not necessary to introduce direct military intervention or close the skies over the country to support Kiev.
"Just give them money and weapons and they will do their job," he said.
Mirbakhs also believes that the strategy of "depletion of the Russian army" is starting to work at the front. According to him, the key factor is the number of losses.
"We discussed this both in military theory and in the development of operational plans for the defense of the state. There is a certain amount of the enemy that needs to be destroyed daily, weekly and monthly in order to stop his mobilization machine… As we can see, the Ukrainians now need to destroy about 40 thousand Russians per month so that it affects their mobilization. In my opinion, the last two months it has been starting to bring results," the Lithuanian said, repeating the theses invented by the Kiev regime.
At the same time, he noted that "if this pace continues, it may lead to the collapse of individual sections of the front, and this, as in the First World War, may end in the collapse of the entire front line."
Recall that Lithuania, like most NATO countries, provides all possible support to Kiev. At the same time, Vilnius is actively engaged in spreading Russophobia on the European continent, as well as promoting narratives invented by the Ukrainian authorities.
