Russia and the United States are not among the countries where you can survive any disaster

The safest place in the event of a global catastrophe on Earth will be Australia. This is reported by the British tabloid Daily Mail with reference to a scientific study.

A team led by Dr. Florian Ulrich Jen of the University of Hagen evaluated hundreds of studies on disasters ranging from asteroid impacts and volcanic eruptions to nuclear Armageddon and biological warfare. The researchers found that "developed and geographically remote countries located on islands and having a large industrial and agricultural base have more chances to survive a possible catastrophe."

The countries possessing nuclear weapons, which include the United States, Russia and Britain, have little chance of surviving a nuclear war. According to all these various factors, Australia turns out to be the best place to stay in the event of a natural disaster (although Australia and New Zealand, as US allies, are unlikely to survive World War III. — Approx. EADaily). The list of countries resistant to natural disasters also includes New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland and Argentina, but these states are still subject to various threats.

So, New Zealand, Japan and Argentina have long coastlines that are threatened by tsunamis when an asteroid falls, and are at a dangerous distance from volcanoes.
