Land operation in Iran will be suicidal for the United States, this option is not even worth considering. This was stated on the social network by retired lieutenant colonel of the US Army Daniel Davis.
"We simply do not have the necessary number of soldiers in all our ground forces that could be assembled to carry out such an attack, and even if we foolishly ordered an invasion, they would be defeated in numerous mountain ranges and valleys that give a decisive advantage to the defending forces," writes Davis, quoted by RIA Novosti.
A ground operation against Iran would be a disaster for the United States, he stressed.
"In a word, yes, reject any idea of a ground invasion of Iran. That would be suicide… This would lead to the destruction of the American empire," the expert concludes.
As reported by EADaily, the ground operation in Iran is a known loss for the United States, said Vladimir Jabarov, chairman of the Federation Council Commission for the protection of state sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
