"If Durov had not been interested in a beautiful life, everyone would have continued to use Telegram"

If Durov had not been interested in a beautiful life, everyone would have continued to use Telegram. Ukrainian journalist and TV presenter Diana Panchenko wrote about this in her telegram channel.

"I am watching with interest how some people extol Pavel Durov as a savior, almost a messiah. But for some reason, no one comes up with a simple thought: if Durov were less interested in a beautiful life and casual flights with girls, perhaps we would continue to use Telegram quietly?" — writes Panchenko.

She recalled that Pavel Durov, a man on whose service communication on both sides of the largest war since World War II depends, decided to fly with a girl on a private plane to have dinner in Paris, where he was arrested.

"Talk about the fact that he does not have encryption keys, that he was just detained, just released... not everyone will believe it. And now the states in which Telegram has become a critical part of communication are forced to ask quite mundane questions.:
— where will he take the girls next time?
— in which country can he be detained again?
— to whom will he give the encryption keys?", — further writes Panchenko.

She states that today "Telegram" is banned in Russia and Ukraine, slow down in Italy, France, UAE.

"Whole countries don't want to depend on the routes of one rich temperamental guy and his sudden romantic impulses. With all due respect to Pavel and Telegram as the best product, his behavior is, to put it mildly, frivolous. If I had all your correspondence, I would hardly dissect all over the world. Where is Snowden? Hiding. Where is Durov? Flies to restaurants. We live in The Third World War. It is necessary to sensibly assess responsibility and risks," concluded Panchenko.
