Severstal's largest shareholder Alexei Mordashov topped the Forbes magazine rating of 155 Russian billionaires for 2026. The list was published on the publication's website on April 23.
"The first place in the Russian Forbes list was taken by a large margin by metallurgical magnate Alexei Mordashov — his estimate soared to a record $ 37 billion," the publication says.
According to the publication, the second place in the rating was taken by the head of Interros and the president of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, with an estimated fortune of $ 29.7 billion, the third position was taken by the founder of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, whose assets reached $ 29.5 billion.
In addition, it is noted that the total wealth of Russian billionaires has increased to a record $ 696.5 billion.
