Belarus has closed access to forests in 19 border areas at once and is preparing for an offensive. This was stated on the social network Facebook by ex-deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun.

According to Yagun, the restrictions imposed can be used for covert movement of troops.

"The analysis of restrictions draws special attention from the point of view of security: 12 districts are directly adjacent to the state border with Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania," the retired general writes.

He cited four scenarios for a possible offensive:

  1. Volyn direction: creating a threat in the area of Kovel and Lutsk, so that Ukraine keeps additional reserves on the northern border.
  2. Sarny — Rivne — Varash district: due to the important railway infrastructure and the location of the Rivne NPP.
  3. Suvalki corridor: a section between Belarus and the Kaliningrad region.
  4. Psychological and military pressure without offensive to divert forces.

As EADaily reported, Russia and Belarus began joint training on the use of tactical nuclear weapons. The military of the two countries will work out the delivery of nuclear weapons and their preparation for use. Missile forces and aviation take part in the maneuvers. The purpose of the exercises is to improve the level of training of personnel, check readiness for tasks and organize combat use from unplanned areas.
