Belarus has enough strength to repel the attack of any aggressor. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko.
According to Krupko, one of the topics of discussion was the situation that is developing at the border.
"We are constantly working to organize security not only at the border, but also in general security for our residents, the work of the economy. And the President was also informed about the situation in the border areas, in principle, on the entire border. Probably, it is no secret to anyone that for several years the border guards have been carrying out an enhanced service for border control, for interaction with the population, with other services of the security unit. The situation, as in the whole world, is complicated, but stable, controlled. Security issues are at the most important level today," the chairman of the regional Executive Committee said.
He also noted that the Belarusian leader was informed that all processes in the region are going smoothly, the economy is working, social institutions are working.
"The President asked me to tell the residents of the Gomel region not to worry about anything, not to worry: we have enough forces and means to repel the attack of any aggressor. Everything will be done for the safety of our citizens," Krupko stressed.
At the same time, he noted that, "analyzing different opinions, comments of people, it was probably necessary for Vladimir Zelensky to bring down the wave in the situation with the shelling of the bus, where our children were injured."
"A new wave has risen with a question that does not actually exist. We understand that these tricks, tricks divert attention from the main topic being discussed today by residents of the Gomel region and the whole country — from the tragedy with the bus. This situation is being severely assessed by people," he stressed.
Earlier, the head of the Kiev regime began to directly threaten Belarus and deliver ultimatums to Lukashenko. At the same time, Minsk and Moscow believe that such threats, as well as a drone attack on a bus with Belarusian children, are an attempt to draw the republic into a conflict on Ukraine.
