Participants of the banned in The Russian extremist and terrorist organization "Artillery Preparation" were going to carry out a high-profile terrorist attack on the railway.

As reported on Friday, July 3, the TASS news agency, referring to the materials of the criminal case, the crime was planned to be committed in the Orenburg region.

The attackers intended to drop an improvised explosive device (IED) from the bridge onto a train carrying products of the military-industrial complex.

To carry out their plan, the terrorists made a homemade bomb, and also obtained firearms. However, it was not possible to implement criminal plans — the criminals were detained by the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The publication informs that the investigation of the criminal case against the members of the "Artillery Preparation" has been completed. The materials with the approved indictment were sent to the Second Western District Military Court for consideration on the merits.

The head of the banned organization Vyacheslav Maltsev He was put on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia. Other defendants are accused of committing crimes under Articles 282, 205, 222, 223 and 226 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
