Italian Foreign Ministry: Ukraine could not organize a terrorist attack in Moscow, Russia is lying

The statements of the Russian ambassador to Italy about Ukraine's involvement in the explosion at the Moscow restaurant Balzi Rossi are a lie. This was stated by the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry Antonio Tajani.

According to him, such accusations are devoid of logic and look like an attempt to put pressure on Italy.

"The statement that the attack on an Italian restaurant in Moscow was committed "to intimidate Italians" is a colossal lie. Why should Ukrainians intimidate Italians"if our country supports Kiev?" — He said.

Moreover, the minister made the opposite interpretation.

"Perhaps it is the Russians themselves who are trying to intimidate the Italians, given that we support Ukraine," the minister said.

Recall, on the evening of August 1, an explosion occurred on Kudrinskaya Square in the center of Moscow in a restaurant that was closed for a private event. Later, the Russian Embassy in Italy said that "by planning a terrorist attack in one of the best Italian restaurants in Moscow, the Kiev terrorists wanted to scare the Italians working in Russia, to show them that they are also under the gun and can at any moment become the next victim of the scoundrels."
