In Crimea, gasoline has fallen in price — to the level of the European Union

There is more gasoline on free sale in Crimea. More and more gas stations are starting to sell fuel even without limits. Prices have also decreased. Now they correspond to the level of the leading EU countries. Perhaps this is the subsidy that the authorities of the peninsula were talking about.

On August 3, the cost of Ai-95 gasoline at Crimean gas stations for free sale is 175-199 rubles per liter. This is 2.4−2.7 times more expensive than in the neighboring Krasnodar Territory at the gas stations of vertically integrated companies — Rosneft, Lukoil and Gazprom Neft.

However, the current price is significantly lower than previous quotations on the peninsula, when Ai-95 was sold at 235-275 rubles per liter.

According to GlobalPetrolPrices, the maximum prices corresponded to the second and third most expensive in the world — after Hong Kong. And now the cost of Ai-95 is equivalent to prices in the EU — Germany, Italy and France, for example.

What is the reason for the decline, the authorities of the peninsula do not report. However, back in mid-July, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced that the Russian government plans to subsidize fuel for Crimea. He himself estimated the subsidy for video conferencing with the president at 85 rubles, which roughly corresponds to a decrease in gas station prices.

There are no gas stations of large oil companies in Crimea and independent networks that buy fuel on the stock exchange or from traders sell fuel. The head of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev explained that high prices are checked and correspond to the costs of suppliers.

The peninsula experienced a sharp shortage of fuel not so much because of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on Russian refineries, but because of attacks on fuel trucks on logistics routes to Crimea.

Since last week, refueling limits, including canisters, have been removed at some gas stations in Crimea. For Crimeans, this is extremely important, since the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to leave more than half of Crimea without electricity and there is a boom in the use of generators on the peninsula.

The current price of gasoline in Crimea, however, continues to be high. And residents of the peninsula continue to travel to neighboring regions. According to the official channel "Crimean Bridge: operational information", in recent days on Queues appeared on the Crimean Bridge and they became larger. This is partly due to the tightening of the rules for the transportation of gasoline to the Crimea. The volume of 200 liters per car has remained the same, but from August 4 only certified steel, aluminum and special plastic cans with a volume of up to 40 liters will be allowed to pass.
