A Bombardier ARTEMIS II, a specially modified electronic reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft commissioned by the US Army and used by NATO forces, is operating in the Black Sea off the coast of Sochi and Abkhazia, Sochi Online reports.
The aircraft is equipped with sensors for deep interception of radio communications, radar signals and air defense systems. Capable of patrolling at altitudes above 10 000 — 12 000 meters up to 9 hours.
Bombardier operates flights in international airspace or over the territory of allied countries.
It is noted that the aircraft regularly makes reconnaissance sorties from bases in Romania, for example, from Constanta, patrolling neutral waters near the coast of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory, which he is doing now.
