Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky wants to postpone the appointment of Sviridenko as head of Naftogaz. He stated this in the Verkhovna Rada.
"There is a supervisory board there, and it will directly resolve this issue regarding the upcoming personnel changes. As far as I know, in any case, a transparent competition should be announced in accordance with the best corporate governance practices. Ideally, this new leader should appear after the end of the heating season in order to stabilize the current situation," said Koretsky, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
Recall that Sergei Koretsky himself previously headed Naftogaz. As reported, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, planned to appoint former Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko to this position, who was succeeded by Koretsky.
"However, as we can see, the new prime minister actually opposed this idea, although he was previously considered a protege of the president's inner circle, as well as Sviridenko," the newspaper notes.
According to Strana, despite this, Koretsky can play his own game if he sees a change in the political situation.
As EADaily reported, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko was actually appointed to the post of head of Naftogaz. This was reported by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexey Goncharenko❶.
According to him, the decision on the appointment has already been made, the votes in the supervisory board have been collected, Goncharenko wrote ❶ in his telegram channel. "Mrs. Yulia can be congratulated on receiving one of the highest salaries in the country," the deputy said.
