Hungary has ceased to be neutral and is taking a hostile position towards Russia. This was stated by former Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"Today Hungary opposes Russia. She declared Russia an enemy and became pro-Ukrainian along with the Germans, French and British. They use our money by channeling it into Ukraine, and they are dragging us into this war," he said.
Recall, under Orban, Budapest tried to take a neutral position on the situation on the Ukraine and called on Kiev for peace talks. The new government adjusted its policy and even agreed to further advance Ukraine in the negotiations on joining the European Union.
