Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission has announced preliminary outcomes of the voting at the parliamentary elections.
As head of the commission, Mazahir Panahov, said, the ruling Yeni Azərbaycan (The New Azerbaijan) Party will have at least 68 from 125 seats at the new parliament.
Under preliminary data, the voter turnout was 55.7%. It is by 6% more than at the previous elections. Overall, more than 2.89 mn voters took part in the elections. The elections are proclaimed valid at all the polling stations.
