The Supreme Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine betrayed the Ukrainian servicemen by giving the order to leave Ugledar too late. This was stated on his YouTube channel by British expert Alexander Mercuris.
"In my opinion, it was a betrayal of these Ukrainian soldiers by their high command… If one day Zelensky (the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. — EADaily) and Syrsky (Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky. — EADaily) will be called to account for what happened, then they deserve it anyway," said Merkouris, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The order to retreat was given at the very last moment, the expert stressed, — the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine simply could not leave the city.
According to him, most of the military are exhausted and lack water and food.
As EADaily reported, Russian units from the Vostok grouping continue to clean up the town of Ugledara in the DPR, which came under our control the day before.
As blogger and military commentator Yuri Podolyaka wrote on the morning of October 3, the Russian military captured about a thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this settlement, many of them wounded. The figure may be inconclusive, as the cleanup continues.
If we summarize the reports from Ukrainian sources, we can conclude that the elite 72nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Black Cossacks" actually ceased to exist.
