The distributor "Atmosphere Cinema" and the Association of Cinema Owners (AVC) appealed to Russian cinemas to postpone the premiere of the film "Spider-Man: A New Day" as part of the pre-screening service until August 20. This is reported by the telegram channels "Bulletin of the film distributor" and "Kinopoisk/The industry."
"Officially, "Spider-Man: A New Day" will not be released in Russian cinemas, but the picture can be shown in particular in the format of a pre-screening service. The American distribution of the movie will start on July 31," one of the publications clarifies.
At the same time, the distributor "Atmosphere Cinema" releases on screens in The Russian film "The Last hero. Kolobok". The film was scheduled to be released on Russian screens on August 13, but the premiere was postponed to August 6.
It was in this regard that cinemas were advised to hold back the screenings of the new "Spider-Man".
"The restriction does not apply to "any other content without a rental certificate that appeared in cinemas before August 6, 2026," the publications also specify.
If Spider-Man is released by cinemas before August 20, Atmosphere Cinema reserves the right to "revise further terms of cooperation."
Recall, "Spider-Man: A New Day" by Destin Daniel Cretton is the fourth film about Spider-Man. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink and other actors played in the new part of Peter Parker's adventures.
