The Iranian Navy said it had launched a cruise missile attack on an American warship in response to US strikes on Iranian military facilities in the Strait of Hormuz, the state-run IRIB TV channel reports.
Earlier, the Iranian army also announced that it had launched drones at US military facilities at a base in Kuwait. The targets were American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, ammunition depots and fuel tanks.
