Press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stressed that the American leader Donald Trump called on Kiev to take part in the meeting proposed by Russia without any conditions.
"The position of US President Donald Trump is also known, who called on the Ukrainian side to take part in the meeting we proposed immediately without any conditions," Peskov told reporters, quoted by TASS.
Recall: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday offered Kiev to resume direct talks in Istanbul on May 15. "We do not rule out that during these negotiations it will be possible to agree on some new truces, on a new ceasefire.
