US President Donald Trump said that representatives of the Iranian authorities are calling him with a request to conclude a nuclear deal. The statement was made during an appearance on the NBC News channel.
"They missed the opportunity to make a deal. Now, perhaps they will have another opportunity. We'll see," Trump said.
Answering the question of why he believes that Iran will want to conclude a deal right now, after the Israeli strikes, Trump stressed that we are talking about the same people with whom the United States worked earlier, although "many of them are already dead."
"They're calling me to talk," Trump said.
At the same time, Trump positively assessed Israel's actions, praising that the Israelis used "the best weapons in the world, which are American."
