The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said that together with the Special Operations Forces (SSO) destroyed two Russian aircraft at the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region.
It is noted that two more fighter-bombers are damaged.
"The SBU and the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two Russian SU-34 aircraft at the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region, two more damaged the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a joint special operation, as a result of which two Russian SU-34 fighter-bombers were destroyed at the Marinovka airfield and two more were damaged. As a result of the attack, a fire started in the technical and operational part of the enemy airfield, which is a critical infrastructure of a military facility,"the ministry said in a statement.
According to the SBU, the strike was carried out by "long-range drones."
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not report strikes on the Marinovka airfield. In today's summary of the Russian Defense Ministry, it is said about the strike of "Daggers" and UAVs at the military airfield of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that tonight the Russian Armed Forces "delivered a group strike with high-precision long-range air-based weapons, including the Kinzhal aeroballistic hypersonic missile system, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, on the infrastructure of the military airfield."
