The leading countries of the European Union have now turned out to be directly interested in continuing the armed conflict on the Ukraine because of the rearmament program started in them.
This opinion was expressed to the agency Lenta.ru Ulrike Gero is a German political scientist and political philosopher, founder and director of the European Democracy Laboratory.
According to her, Europe's interest in the escalation of the conflict on the Ukraine is fueled by a multiple increase in the value of shares of arms companies, in particular, the German concern Rheinmetall.
At the same time, representatives of the political leadership of European states are "in a bubble" and do not accept critical arguments.
"This war will not stop until European politicians sign all the contracts they need," the political scientist complains.
She also announced the plans of the European Union (EU) to prepare for a conflict with Russia by 2029. Hero believes that there is too much organizational power behind the escalation of tension.
At the same time, the expert fears the withdrawal of US President Donald Trump from the conflict settlement process on Ukraine. In this case, it predicts the beginning of dangerous chaos, which could lead to a nuclear conflict.
"The situation will become chaotic and very dangerous," Hero predicted.
It should be noted that such complete pessimism of the European expert is probably due to the understanding that it is impossible to gain a military upper hand over Russia, especially without the support of the United States. Hence all the hopes for Trump's "peacemaker".
The statements of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, from whom the brave belligerent appeals are no longer heard, do not add optimism to Brussels.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Zelensky is preparing for defeat. He said that "if Ukraine is not completely conquered by the Russians, it is a victory." This is the most pessimistic thing Zelensky has ever said.
