Kiev is categorically against joining the European Union with a probationary period, Ukraine agrees only to full membership. This was stated by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
So he commented on the relevant initiatives that are currently being discussed in Brussels.
"If we are talking about EU membership, then it must be fully implemented. It seems to me that it is very important that we have equal countries on the same table. It is important that they share similar values. In my opinion, you cannot be semi—active or a member of the EU," Zelensky said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
Recall, the European Union may appoint a "probationary period" for new members so that at some point they do not turn out to be a new Hungary, which runs counter to the general EU policy. This was stated by the European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, the Financial Times reported.
This period may last several years and implies the possibility of expulsion from the EU in the event of a "departure from democratic principles."
"I don't want to be known as a commissioner bringing Trojan horses that will be in effect in five, ten or fifteen years," Kos stressed.
