Zelensky believes that Walmart stores in Donetsk will be protected from Russia. This is reported by the Dutch newspaper NRC.
The newspaper reports that in the peace plan presented by the head of the Kiev regime, there is a clause on the "free economic zone" in the Donbass.
According to former SBU officer Ivan Stupak, quoted by the publication, this is a kind of trick on the part of Zelensky aimed at keeping the Donetsk region under the control of Ukraine and involving the United States in this process.
"The Ukrainian authorities sincerely believe that American economic activity can be a kind of insurance policy. That if there are several Walmart stores in Donetsk, it will be a good guarantee that there will be no Russian attack," Stupak quotes the publication.
