Ukraine will be ready to join the European Union in 2027. This was stated at a joint press conference with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland Gitanas Nauseda and Karol Navrotsky in Vilnius by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
He also demanded that the date of accession to the EU be specified in the peace agreement on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
"We want 2027 (EU accession. — Ed.) when Ukraine is ready. Technically, Ukraine will be ready in the first half of 2026 for the opening of all clusters. Ukraine will be fully technically ready in 2027, in our opinion, we want a specific date in our agreement on the end of the war so that all parties adhere to the agreements," Zelensky said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at a government meeting that Ukraine's accession to the EU in 2027 would be part of the peace plan, but a number of European countries would oppose this.
"I have heard that part of the peace plan, if Russia and Ukraine, it will be that the obligations will lie not only on these two sides, but also on a significant part of the international community. Part of the plan is for Ukraine to become a member EU from January 1, 2027. Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia," said Vucic, quoted by Strana.
Vucic also admitted that when Ukraine is admitted to the EU, "there will be forceful changes in procedures, contrary to regulations and everything else."
As EADaily reported, Ukraine will not give up its territory to Russia under any circumstances, so it is necessary to look for a compromise. This was stated in Lithuania by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
This is how he commented on the results of trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi.
