All those who died as a result of a fire in a hostel in Balashikha near Moscow turned out to be Cuban citizens, the operational services reported.

The fire occurred at five o'clock in the morning in the Saltykovka microdistrict in Balashikha, the flames engulfed a private three-storey private house rented for a hostel in the Zvorykino quarter, they write in public.

"All the dead are Cuban citizens. It is currently being investigated how they got into this house," the operational services said.
"The owner of the house lives in London. It is currently being established how the victims of the fire ended up in this house, since they did not have a lease agreement. In addition, electricity was cut off in the house," they said.

According to the Shot telegram channel, four people were killed in the hostel.

"After the fire was extinguished — on an area of 35 square meters — the bodies of four victims were found — on the second floor, in the room where the fire occurred. Apparently, people were asleep and suffocated. Their identities are being established. The case is controlled The IC and the prosecutor's office," the TC points out.

Shot clarifies that the dead are two women and two men. The bodies are badly burned, the identities are being established. Rescuers evacuated 6 people, including a 17-year-old teenager, also a Cuban citizen, and another child.

Law enforcement agencies reported that electricity was turned off at the hostel due to non-payment.

"Previously, the victims lit a bonfire to warm up," the law enforcement officers explained to RIA Novosti.
