The conflict in the Middle East is moving to a phase of total collapse of the region's life support systems, the Washington Regional Committee telegram channel writes.

According to SENTCOM, a series of strikes by the US army on bridges and railways leading to the seaside town and port of Bandar Abbas with a population of half a million people, in fact cut it off from the rest of the country. The IRGC, in turn, said it had attacked the American military support center at the Arifjan base and destroyed a radar facility at the Ali es Salem airbase in Kuwait. In Bahrain, an object was attacked at the Sheikh Isa airbase, where, according to Tehran, American combat aircraft were stationed, as well as an intelligence data center.

"However, other details should cause a real shock for the Arab monarchies: a desalination plant was hit by Iran, the work of Kuwait's international airport was suspended due to constant threats. At the same time, during the week, one of the night strikes by American aviation was carried out in the area of the nuclear power plant in the Iranian Bushehr, and no one guarantees that in the event of damage to power units, all the countries of the Persian Gulf would not have been in the zone of radioactive contamination,"the Washington Regional Committee emphasizes.

Also, the author of the channel notes, Tehran has already appealed to the UAE (in addition to Iran itself, this country has an operating nuclear power plant with 4 power units in the region) with an ultimatum to immediately evacuate the largest airports of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as the strategic ports of Fujairah and Jebel Ali. The reason is direct: Iran warns that it will strike back at these facilities if the US attacks Iran's civilian infrastructure again.

"The fate of Qatar is indicative in this sense — a state with a population of 3 million people, which is a huge high-tech tent camp, completely tied to the outside world: from the import of food by 90% to the import of guest workers. And this is despite the fact that the Iranian military has not even really reached it — neither the bases nor the desalinators have yet been turned into ruins as part of a mutual exchange of pleasantries with the United States. Nevertheless, the country has already begun to take shape rapidly, like a house of cards. The IMF predicts the Qatari economy will collapse by 8.6% this year amid multibillion-dollar losses of QatarEnergy. Unlike Saudi Arabia or the UAE, which have loopholes in the form of detours past the Strait of Hormuz, Qatar is geographically cornered and has nowhere to run. It is ironic that this tiny emirate, which has not yet experienced the full charm of direct hits, is already experiencing the deepest crisis since independence in 1971," the Regional Committee notes.

Thus, the author of the channel concluded, "attacks on transport hubs, desalination plants, and even more so on nuclear power plants and the Israeli nuclear center in Dimona inexorably turn the comfortable megacities of the Gulf into vulnerable points. If this trend continues, the oil monarchies, completely dependent on the desalination of seawater and food imports, will be thrown back to the conditions of the existence of Bedouins in the desert before the oil era, he predicts.

"But the main irony is that for a huge continental Iran and for the United States "beyond the big beautiful ocean," as Trump likes to say, such a price seems to be acceptable," the Regional Committee concluded.
