Severe frosts are expected in Finland, which can last for weeks. This is reported by Rulehti.
According to forecasts, the country will be covered by a high-pressure area next week, which will bring dry and very cold weather. In Southern Finland it will be within -10...-15 degrees, and in the north — up to -20...-27 degrees, or even up to -30. At the same time, precipitation will be insignificant.
"Light precipitation is possible, in some places clouds may give light snow. But in general, if the clouds dissipate, the temperature may well drop to minus 20 degrees," said MTV Uutiset meteorologist Jenna Salminen.
According to her, the cold period can be long. "At such values, we can even live for several weeks in a row. It is especially important to dress warmly now," Salminen said.
Weather forecasters advise residents of the country to prepare for prolonged frosts and take into account weather conditions when traveling and planning trips.
"In Finland, for climatic reasons, there is a break in the fight against Russia: now there is a struggle with ice that has arisen as a result of frosts up to minus 35 degrees," the telegram channel "Pool No. 3" comments on the picture of the day.
