Military correspondents report a massive failure of the Starlink used "in the gray" by the Russian military at the front. Some Z-bloggers are sounding the alarm, pointing out how Elon Musk, serving the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, helps Kiev to stop the killing of our soldiers, others believe that the situation with the current blocking of this satellite Internet system for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is painful, but not catastrophic.
"Blocking Starlink: the fascist Elon Musk, adored by millions, serves the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" write.
They pay attention to what Musk confirmed on the social network X: for the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine, it is necessary to register equipment with Ukrainian government agencies through analogues of the MFC (CNAP) or enemy Public Services (Ukrainian electronic service Dia).
"This may explain the massive failure of terminals that began last night at the front. In this way, the "genius" sucked by the liberals once again assisted the Ukrainian Armed Forces in killing our soldiers," the Two Majors emphasize.
In their opinion, "in the absence of alternatives The Russian Armed Forces use gray "Starlinks" to organize communications at the front.
"The danger is that it was an easy way compared to doing something of your own in space, pulling ever-tearing optical fiber, building bridges, or even massively working with digital stations to organize the transmission of small data packets. Now it's either the old-fashioned way, or to invent something of your own urgently," the military correspondents write.
The authors of the telegram channel "Veteran's Notes" (Veteran's Notes) note that "while the enemy is busy taking into account the terminals, it is possible to redistribute available resources, strengthen alternative communication channels and work out tactics of actions in the temporary absence of Starlink."
"The current lockdown is painful, but not catastrophic. Ukraine, which is completely dependent on Starlink, creates operational difficulties for itself in pursuit of total control. Our task is to use this pause, enhancing technical intelligence and accelerating the implementation of our own solutions. The enemy has made a move, now it's our turn. The main thing is cold calculation and the work of engineers," the military correspondents point out.
TC "Belarusian Silovik" stated that almost 90% of units do not have satellite Internet:
"Almost 90% of my sponsored units are without Internet now. Let's hope that the "Starlink" has a massive failure, but it is very similar to the tests before the introduction of the adjustment of the plates over the territory of Ukraine. Now it turns out that the units cannot work effectively without communication. That's the news for some in high offices will be."
Other military correspondents indicate that on Ukraine has officially activated Starlink whitelists, adding that no terminal reboots will help.
"This will hit the forward assault groups of consolidation the hardest, for example in Kupyansk. They have lost any opportunity to communicate with the mainland. Alas," the Z-bloggers write.
TC "Military Observer" recalled that the Russian military "simply does not have an alternative to Starlink."
"A lot of things, including combat control, were tied to him and everything was taken for granted," TK said.
As reported by EADaily, earlier reserve officer military correspondent Oleg Marzoev, commenting on the information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had interruptions with Starlink after the start of terminal verification, said that information about the disconnection of Starlinks from both sides of the front line could only partially take place. "Because if from our side they can turn off all the complexes, then from the side of the Ukro-NATO troops it could only concern some individual private plates, but it definitely did not affect their military management, which is tied to the system from and to "Starlink“ Ilona Mask," said Marzoev. He recalled that it was Musk who stated that he was against the use of his Starlinks for military purposes, and now he personally "harmed our troops after an open appeal to him from the Ukrainian command."
