The owner of the OnlyFans platform, Ukrainian-American businessman Leonid Radvinsky, has died at the age of 43. This is reported by the Bloomberg portal with reference to the statement of the service.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of Leo Radvinsky's death. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer," the company said in a statement.
Radvinsky was born in Odessa, then his family moved to the USA. He acquired the OnlyFans platform in 2018 and controlled it through his company Fenix International. According to the publication, since 2021, he has received about $ 1.8 billion in business income. In 2024, Radvinsky transferred ownership of the company to a trust. Forbes estimated his fortune at $ 4.7 billion.
Over the past year, Radvinsky has been negotiating the sale of 60% of the business, which is estimated at $ 5.5 billion. In February of this year, negotiations with the investment company Architect Capital were at an early stage.
The OnlyFans platform was founded in 2016 by Britons Guy and Tim Stockley, the service became widely known during the coronavirus pandemic, becoming a platform for monetizing content, mainly for adults. As of 2024, the authors of OnlyFans were more than 4.6 million people, the number of users reached almost 377 million.
