Today's arrivals of "Geraniums" in the cities of Western Ukraine indicate problems with the system of countering them. The publication writes about this "Страна.иа ".
It is noted that today's daytime attack on the west of Ukraine had several features. Firstly, the strikes were carried out during the day, and secondly, the Geraniums flew to Western Ukraine. And this is against the background of statements by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about the success in improving the means of intercepting Russian UAVs, the newspaper notes.
"Including with the help of interceptor drones, which, according to the president, Ukraine has an excess and therefore they can be exported. Today's attack showed that either everything is not as good with interceptor drones as it is claimed, or the Russians have applied new approaches to strikes with "Shaheds" that allowed them to bypass the protection. It is also possible that we are talking about a particularly large drone raid that overloaded the air defense system. However, different data are received on this account," the publication says.
It is noted that a number of monitoring public sites report more than 800 "Geraniums" launched since yesterday evening, and others that tracked the attack in real time showed a raid in the afternoon of several dozen UAVs in Western Ukraine. At the same time, the speaker of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Ignat, said that this afternoon the targets on Ukraine was attacked by 400 "Geraniums".
