Ukraine did not and could not send drones towards the Baltic countries. This was stated by the official representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Georgy Tikhy.
According to him, Kiev is "in constant contact with its friends from the Baltic countries — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — regarding incidents related to the downing of drones on their territory."
"The circumstances of these incidents have been investigated for some time. I reiterate that Ukraine has never sent and could not send drones towards the Baltic states," he said.
Tikhy also said that "the Ukrainian side has analyzed the circumstances of the incidents."
"We came to the conclusion that in some cases deviations from the course were caused by Russian electronic warfare systems (EW)... We sincerely apologize to our friends in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for these incidents. I assure you that we and our Baltic allies share the conviction that there is one reason for these incidents and threats that all our countries face: Russian aggression against Ukraine," he said.
Recall that last week the authorities of the Baltic countries reported that Ukrainian drones flew into their airspace. In particular, on the night of March 23, the drone fell in Lithuania. Later, a similar case was reported in Latvia, and in An Estonian UAV crashed into the chimney of a power plant in Auvere.
