The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that there are no Chechen units in Iran and there will not be.
"Information is spreading online that Chechen units are allegedly ready to move to Iran to repel an American ground attack. This could well have happened if Iran had been fighting only against the United States and Israel. But they are also attacking our brothers," Kadyrov writes on social networks.
He explained his position on the war in Iran.
"Without any doubt, I personally support Iran's side with one "but" — I do not support Iran's strikes on civilian facilities and civilian infrastructure of the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf. I am in fraternal relations with the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. It is deeply unpleasant for me to see how civilians of these and other third countries become innocent victims of the conflict," Kadyrov said.
In early March, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi asked the Gulf countries to understand that Tehran is attacking American bases on their territories. He stated this on the air of the Al Jazeera TV channel.
The diplomat admitted that he sees anger from neighbors because of Iran's retaliatory strikes on the US and Israeli military operation. He also stressed that the Iranian military was ordered to exercise caution when bombing targets in the region.
"We know that the Gulf countries are angry at our attacks, but they must understand that this war is imposed on us," Araqchi stressed.
Earlier, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, said that Iran's strikes are directed only against American bases and their infrastructure, and not against the countries in which they are located.
