Iran, taking advantage of the truce, is excavating entrances to underground ballistic missile storage facilities that were littered as a result of American-Israeli strikes, CNN reports, citing informed sources and satellite images.
According to American intelligence estimates, about half of the Iranian missile launchers remained intact after a month of fighting, sources told the channel. Many of these launchers could have been buried in underground storage facilities as a result of strikes on the entrances.
As the TV channel points out, in the conditions of a cease-fire, Iran is trying to get missiles from underground warehouses. According to him, the available images show how construction equipment is dismantling the rubble at the entrances to the tunnels and loading them into dump trucks. This is evidenced, in particular, by images of a missile base near Khomein and south of Tabriz, taken on April 10.
According to CNN, during the fighting, the United States and Israel struck at the entrances to underground bases in order to prevent missile launchers from leaving the firing position to launch a ballistic missile and quickly return back to recharge.
